TOTAL efficiency IN INTELLIGENT INFRASTRUCTURES
Committed to offering their citizens the highest level of security, the Bruges Police department called on Tein Technology to expand their current video management system in the Golden Triangle, the tourist area that welcomes hundreds of thousands of people every year.
To meet client’s expectations, Tein Technology delivered and installed six movable dome cameras and connected them to the central control room, significantly increasing camera coverage in the area.
Tein Technology executed the project swiftly and thoroughly, and will be in charge of the maintenance of all cameras from the Bruges Police Department.
Last year, Tein Technology had the honour of modernizing the entire camera network and video management system of the municipality of Zele, in East Flanders.
This complete upgrade involved an extensive overhaul of a dated video management system to a brand-new, sophisticated camera surveillance network with an eye to improving safety on the entire territory.
An adapted videowall, a fully upgraded system, tools for video analysis and forensic search, state-of-the-art cameras connected to a main control room through an optic fibre glass network… The entire project was completed to the full satisfaction of the client.
Increasing safety for Zele’s citizens
Between 2010 and 2014, Tein Technology – in partnership with Cegelec Infra Technics - installed the entire surveillance network of the Brussels North police department, comprised of Schaerbeek, Evere and Saint-Joost-ten-Node. With over 130 cameras and tailored management software, this complex project involved two different types of technology: a fiber optic network, and wireless connectivity.
A new Tein Technology project
The police force recently put out a new call for tenders, which was once again won by Tein Technology. With new technological requirements and the need to work closer with other entities in and around the capital, the video management software was ready for an upgrade.
In the coming months, Tein Technology – in partnership with Cegelec Infra Technics that will carry out all infrastructure work – will install the new management software for the surveillance systems, add another 20 cameras across 13 locations, and connect the in-building cameras to the same management platform.
Flanders Shipping Assistance Division (afdeling Scheepvaartbegeleiding of the Vlaamse Overheid, Agentschap Maritieme Dienstverlening en Kust) have ordered a complete renewal of current communication system of the Port of Zeebrugge, to further improve their maritime services. Tein Technology was selected to carry out the assignment.
A comprehensive communication system for the future
When planning the renewal of the old system, there were two key aspects which the new communication system had to integrate: communication with all ships entering, leaving and active within the harbour, the Boudewijnkanaal to Bruges and private internal communication channels for the port authorities.
A strategy that meets every challenge
When laying out the framework for this assignment, the Tein Technology team knew that flexibility was key.
